How does the screw feed extruder work?

The screw feed extruder has two pairs of screws that mesh with each other and rotate in the same direction. So, together they play the role of conveying, frictional extrusion, and heating. So, the screw extrudes, shears, and mixes the raw materials in the barrel. And then the high temperature and pressure will cook the material and the exit die will expand them to various shapes.
